RENTON, Wash., March 4, 2018 — Lightel® Introduces Fiber End Caps
Lightel’s Fiber End Caps (FEC) are used at the output of high power fiber optic amplifier and laser systems to reduce the power density at the output fiber facet. A quartz rod is fused to the fiber facet to provide beam expansion. These devices can be supplied with an integral mode stripper to clean the cladding from unwanted back-reflected light and are offered in polarization maintaining and non-PM configurations. Our FECs feature high signal transfer efficiency with low beam distortion and are available with end caps up to 25mm.
