Lightel Develops Fiber Optic Inspection for Glenair Eye-Beam D38999 Contact

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RENTON, Wash., March 25, 2019 — Lightel Develops Fiber Optic Inspection for Glenair Eye-Beam® D38999 Contact

The Glenair Eye-Beam® fiber optic contact for D38999 connectors provides the benefits of expanded beam technology (e.g., reduced impact of dust and debris) while utilizing a field-proven harsh environment connector. Lightel has developed a tip to inspect the endface of this termini without removing it from the 38999 multi-channel connector. The user can use either the Lightel Eye-Beam tip with a Glenair test probe adapter or one can view the endface directly in the connector with a standard Lightel M29504/4 or 5 tip and our Field of View (FOV) adapter. The development of this tip greatly facilitates the inspection and maintenance of these connectors.

Eye-Beam® is a registered trademark of Glenair.
