New LC Male Tips Facilitate Connector Inspection

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RENTON, Wash., June 1, 2018 — Lightel® Continues to Make Connector Inspection Easier with Our New Male LC Tips.

Lightel has developed a new LC male tip for its line of video microscopes that greatly expedites endface inspection of these connectors. Traditional 1.25mm tips require the user to insert the tip over the ferrule. Finding this tiny hole can be an arduous task when performing endface inspection of a high density rack in a dark telecom closet or data center. Lightel’s new LC male tip goes over the connector housing (both PC and APC versions support both simplex and duplex) with a built-in slot to accommodate the LC connector latching system. The result is lower risk of ferrule breakage and ease of inspection.
